BTS is set to announce its first world tour since 2022, according to a report by U.S. music industry outlet Hits Daily Double. The announcement is expected on January 14th, marking the group’s return to large-scale touring following members’ military service hiatus.
The report states that the upcoming tour is projected to include approximately 30 dates in North America and another 30 shows across international markets. While full details have not yet been officially confirmed, the tour would represent one of the largest global concert runs planned for 2025.
Hits Daily Double further claimed that HYBE, BTS’s agency, initially explored a deal with AEG Presents regarding tour promotion. According to the outlet, HYBE reportedly offered AEG exclusive promotion rights for the entire BTS tour. However, the publication alleged that negotiations ultimately fell through, opening the door for Live Nation to promote most of the upcoming dates.
Separately, rumors circulating on social media, particularly on X (formerly Twitter), expanded on the report with additional claims. These posts suggested that HYBE allegedly proposed granting AEG a 50% stake in Coachella in exchange for exclusive promoter rights to the BTS tour, along with influence over future K-pop bookings at the festival. Neither HYBE nor AEG has confirmed these claims, and they remain speculative.

As of now, both companies have declined to comment on the report. BTS is also expected to release a new album on March 20, adding to the anticipation surrounding the group’s full-scale return.
The reports and rumors have sparked online debate among fans. Some social media users dismissed the claims as exaggerated industry chatter, while others reacted critically. However, without official confirmation, details surrounding tour promotion negotiations remain unverified.
BTS previously demonstrated its massive global draw with tours such as Love Yourself: Speak Yourself, which grossed approximately $170 million, reinforcing expectations that the group’s next tour will be one of the most significant events in the global music industry.
