Park Hyung Sik Set to Play Son of Cha Seung Won in Upcoming Film

Park Hyung Sik will star as the son of Cha Seung Won in a new film.

YTN Star reported on February 25th that Park Hyung Sik has confirmed his role in the upcoming movie Family Force (literal title). The film is a comedy action movie about a grandfather, father, and active-duty Marine son—all with a Marine Corps background—who get caught up in an unexpected terrorist incident.

Park Hyung Sik will play the Marine son. Known for earning the nickname “Baby Soldier” due to his impressive performance on the variety show Real Men, he is drawing attention for his return to the Marine role in this fictional setting.

In Family Force, Park Hyung Sik will be the son of Cha Seung Won. The two previously shared great chemistry as guests on Three Meals a Day: Fishing Village Season 2. This will be their first time collaborating on a drama or film, raising excitement among fans.

Park Hyung Sik debuted in the music industry in 2010 as a member of ZE:A and began his acting career in 2012 with the SBS drama Dummy Mom. Since then, he’s built a strong acting career, starring in popular dramas such as The Heirs, High Society, Strong Woman Do Bong Soon and Happiness.

Last year, he earned critical acclaim for his role as Seo Dong Joo in the SBS drama Treasure Island, which concluded with a peak viewership rating of 15.4%, ranking second among mini-series aired in 2025.
