Yura and Hong Jong Hyun are taking fans on a nostalgic trip—12 years after their iconic run on We Got Married.
On January 8th, Yura uploaded a new video to her YouTube channel “yurayurahae” titled “The ‘We Got Married’ JjongA Couple Reunites After 12 Years.” The clip captures the moment she comes face to face with Hong Jong Hyun for the first time since their variety-show days.
Yura revealed she had no idea who the guest would be until the day of filming. When Hong Jong Hyun suddenly appeared, she froze in shock, repeating, “What is this? What is this? Hi. What?” Laughing, Hong Jong Hyun asked, “You really didn’t know?”
The production team then handed them a mission envelope that read, “From this moment on, Jong Hyun and Yura, please prepare for a ‘reminder’ We Got Married date following the guide.” Yura reacted with disbelief, saying, “Oh my god.”
As they revisited old clips and viral memes from their time as the beloved “JjongA Couple,” the two laughed about how little had changed. “We grew up just fine,” they joked. Hong Jong Hyun also recalled a forgotten behind-the-scenes moment, admitting, “I caught norovirus back then, so I kept disappearing in the middle of filming.”
Their reunion continued with a grocery run and a camping-style date—carefully designed to mirror their original We Got Married routes. “This feels exactly like a We Got Married route,” Yura said. “It’s bringing back so many memories. It feels like a mini time slip.”
At the end of the video, Hong Jong Hyun took a moment to promote his upcoming drama. “My new drama is called ‘Positively Yours’ and it premieres on the 17th. Please tune in,” he said. Yura wrapped things up warmly, telling him, “Thank you so much for coming on. I really appreciate it.”
