Yura is set to take center stage in the remake of the classic comedy film Marrying the Mafia.
According to a News1 report on the 10th, Yura will be making her big-screen debut in Reboot: Glory Again (working title).
Reboot: Glory Again is a remake of the iconic Korean comedy franchise Marrying the Mafia. The original movie, starring Jung Joon Ho and Kim Jung Eun, became a major hit in 2002. This was followed by a series of successful sequels: Marrying the Mafia 2 in 2005 with Shin Hyun Joon and Kim Won Hee, Marrying the Mafia 3 in 2006, Marrying the Mafia 4 in 2011, and Marrying the Mafia 5 in 2012.
After 11 years, Marrying the Mafia is getting a fresh reboot with a new twist to the franchise. The reboot will primarily follow the narrative of the original 2002 film but with a new cast of characters.
With Yoon Hyun Min’s participation already announced, Yura will join him in the cast as the lead actress. Yura’s character in the film gets caught up in chaotic situations, even getting unexpectedly married to Yoon Hyun Min’s character.
Alongside Yoon Hyun Min and Yura, Kim Su Mi and Tak Jae Hoon will reprise their roles in Reboot: Glory Again, and Seo Hyo Rim will join the cast as a new character. The film will start shooting in the latter half of this year.
Meanwhile, Yura is scheduled to meet viewers as the lead in the upcoming drama Destined with You in August.
