Yoo Jae Suk has done it again.
Yoo was honored with the Grand Prize at the 2025 MBC Entertainment Awards, held at the MBC Media Center in Seoul on December 29th. This marks his ninth Grand Prize win at the network. He beat out stiff competition, including Jun Hyun Moo, Kian84 and Kim Yeon Koung, to secure the top honor.
In his acceptance speech, Yoo cracked a joke about the tight race, saying, “They said it was a 49% chance, but I wonder if they should have said 51% instead.” After thanking his family, he took a moment to acknowledge his castmates from Hangout with Yoo?.
He gave a warm shoutout to the members who left the show earlier this year amid various restructuring efforts. “I sincerely want to thank my younger brothers, Haha and Woo Jae,” he said. “I also especially want to convey my deep appreciation to Jinjoo, Mijoo and Lee Yi Kyung, who worked so hard with us until this year before unfortunately departing the show.”
Jun Hyun Moo’s Apology
While Yoo celebrated, fellow nominee Jun Hyun Moo took a more somber tone. Upon accepting the Entertainer of the Year award, he bowed his head in apology on behalf of the variety show I Live Alone, which has been embroiled in controversy recently due to cast member Park Na Rae’s scandals.
“Although there were many mistakes on my part… I will accept this award as a call to do better in the future,” Jun stated, pledging to present an improved image for the show in 2026.

Park Na Rae’s Legal Troubles Deepen
In related news, the legal battle involving I Live Alone star Park Na Rae is intensifying.
The court has accepted a request from Park Na Rae’s former manager to place a lien of 100 million won ($71,000) on her real estate. However, it has been reported that Park had already established a massive 4.9 billion won ($3.5 million) mortgage on the property in anticipation of such a move.
In this case, the mortgage takes precedence over the lien because it was recorded first. This establishes the mortgage as the senior claim and gets paid out before the lien. A legal expert commented, “Park Na Rae took measures in preparation for the attachment’s acceptance, and criticism regarding this move is expected to follow,” highlighting the strategic nature of her actions to protect her assets.
