IU took home the night’s highest honor at the 2025 SeoulCon APAN Star Awards, earning the Grand Prize and leading a six-win sweep for her drama When Life Gives You Tangerines.
The ceremony was held on December 29th at Dongdaemun Design Plaza in Seoul. IU accepted the top trophy with heartfelt remarks, calling When Life Gives You Tangerines “a project I’m proud of simply for having been a part of it.”
She continued, describing the drama as “a story about people who live each given day with sincerity,” and thanked viewers for the empathy and support they shared with the characters’ lives. “I truly hope that, at the next turn in your own lives, a reward as dazzling and wonderful as the canola flower field Ae Sun and Gwan Sik once walked through is waiting for you,” she said, closing with gratitude.
Along with IU’s Grand Prize, When Life Gives You Tangerines claimed the night’s top Best Series honor, cementing its status as one of the year’s standout dramas.
