G-Dragon capped off the year in dominant fashion, sweeping three of the four grand prizes at the Melon Music Awards 2025. The night’s remaining Daesang went to Jennie, rounding out a star-powered ceremony.
Held on the 20th at Gocheok Sky Dome in Seoul, MMA 2025 honored music released between October 31st, 2024, and November 19th, 2025, with KakaoBank returning as title sponsor for the fourth consecutive year.
Jennie kicked off the Daesang announcements by winning Record of the Year. “This year meant so much to me,” she said, referencing the release of her first album. She added, “I’ll keep making great music,” before sharing a heartfelt note: “I really miss my members. Being alone feels lonely.”
G-Dragon claimed Album of the Year for Übermensch, describing it as a personal mantra about transcending oneself. He thanked his fans, VIP, and added simply, “I miss the BigBang members.”
He went on to win Artist of the Year and Best Song of the Year for “Home Sweet Home” with Taeyang and Daesung, finishing the night with seven trophies total—including Best Male Solo and Best Songwriter—cementing his status as MMA 2025’s clear standout.
