Park Seo Joon and Won Ji An are opening up about their chemistry in the new JTBC weekend drama Surely Tomorrow.
Park Seo Joon, who plays Lee Kyung Do, described the relationship between Kyung Do and Seo Ji Woo (Won Ji An)—a couple who still long for each other even after two heartbreaking breakups—with one simple word: love. “Time goes by and situations change, and the shape of love can change too,” he said. “But when you look at Kyung Do and Ji Woo, you can tell that feeling is still there. It’s hard to talk about their relationship without calling it love.”
Won Ji An, taking on the role of Seo Ji Woo, explained their dynamic with the word “magnet”—because even after years apart, the two are drawn back together. She elaborated there had to be an undeniable pull between them for a relationship like theirs to make sense.
Park recalled having high expectations even during casting. “I was really curious and excited to see who would play Ji Woo,” he said. “When I met Ji An for the first time, she had exactly the feeling I imagined for Ji Woo. It made me even more confident in the project.” He added that Surely Tomorrow is “a drama with a lot of emotional scenes, so we trusted and relied on each other while filming.”

Won shared her own behind-the-scenes experience. “On set, I spent a lot of time discussing each scene with the director and Seo Joon,” she said. “There were moments when the emotional weight of the story started to feel physically and mentally exhausting, but he always looked after me. That support really stayed with me.”
She added, “He helped me hold onto all the delicate details until the very end of filming. I learned so much thanks to his care, and I’m very grateful.”
Surely Tomorrow follows Kyung Do and Ji Woo, who meet again years after two failed relationships—this time as a reporter who broke a scandal story and the wife of the man at the center of that scandal. The drama, about a couple pulled back into a deep, aching romance, premieres December 6th.
