Ahn Seong Su, the CEO of Gold Medalist, has resigned from his position. Gold Medalist is the agency representing top actor Kim Soo Hyun.

Ahn quietly departed the company approximately two months ago, according to TenAsia’s November 28th report. He had been a visible figure at the agency, notably attending Kim Soo Hyun’s press conference on March 31st. An executive from the Hanwha Group has reportedly been appointed to fill the vacancy.

This leadership change comes at a turbulent time for the agency, which is embroiled in a highly publicized and unresolved dispute between Kim Soo Hyun and the family of the late Kim Sae Ron.

Ahn Seong Su, who joined Gold Medalist earlier this year, resigned after only about nine months in the role. This follows the departure of another former CEO who left the company last December, just before the current controversy erupted. The former CEO had reportedly managed the compensation issues following Kim Sae Ron’s drunk driving incident, working to assist her financially during her difficult circumstances.

Kim Soo Hyun is currently facing allegations that he was in a six-year relationship with the late Kim Sae Ron, beginning when she was a minor.

The actor initially denied any romantic involvement but later clarified that they dated only after she became an adult. The situation escalated further when private letters sent by Kim to the actress during his military service were leaked on YouTube, fueling speculation about the timeline of their relationship.

The late Kim Sae Ron was found deceased at her home in Seoul on February 16th, a date that tragically coincides with Kim Soo Hyun’s birthday. The actor and her bereaved family have been locked in a tense legal battle over the allegations since her passing.
