Netflix has confirmed December 5th as the global premiere date for its new original series The Price of Confession, unveiling a striking teaser poster and trailer that promise an intense psychological showdown between Jeon Do Yeon and Kim Go Eun.
Directed by Lee Jung Hyo, known for Doona!, Crash Landing on You, and The Good Wife, the mystery thriller marks Jeon and Kim’s long-awaited reunion—ten years after their collaboration on the film Memories of the Sword.
The Price of Confession follows Yoon Soo (Jeon Do Yeon), a woman accused of murdering her husband, and Mo Eun (Kim Go Eun), a mysterious woman known as “the witch.” As secrets intertwine between the two, the series explores a dangerous deal that blurs the line between guilt and innocence.
The newly released teaser poster captures both women in identical prison uniforms, separated by a single wall yet pressed close together. Yoon Soo’s desperate gaze contrasts with Mo Eun’s chillingly vacant expression.
The teaser opens with a blood-soaked Yoon Soo cradling her dying husband while frantically calling 911. As she maintains an unsettling calm, even smiling from time to time, at the funeral and during police questioning, suspicion against her deepens. Her anguished cry—“I didn’t kill him!”—leaves viewers torn between empathy and doubt.
Meanwhile, Mo Eun, who has been silently observing Yoon Soo from the shadows, approaches her in prison and makes a shocking offer: she will confess to killing Yoon Soo’s husband—if Yoon Soo agrees to do something for her in return.
Amid a web of deception where no one can be trusted, prosecutor Baek Dong Hoon (Park Hae Soo) and defense attorney Jang Jung Goo (Jin Sun Kyu) enter the picture, each chasing the elusive truth. The trailer closes with Mo Eun’s chilling line: “In the end, we’ll end up doing this crazy thing.”
The Price of Confession premieres December 5th (Friday), exclusively on Netflix.
