Kim Tae Ri is stepping into a brand-new role, and this time, it is not in a drama or a film.
The actress will make her first-ever regular appearance on a variety show with tvN’s upcoming reality series After School, Teacher Tae Ri (literal title).
The show follows a unique after-school drama class held at a small rural elementary school, where one-of-a-kind theater lessons come to life. Joining Kim Tae Ri are Choi Hyun Wook and Kangnam, who will serve as assistant teachers for the class.
Known for her wide-ranging performances across romance, sci-fi, historical dramas, and even traditional theater, Kim Tae Ri now takes on the challenge of becoming an elementary school acting teacher.
Choi Hyun Wook is set to play the role of a warm and attentive counselor, listening closely to even the smallest voices, while also bringing lighthearted humor to the classroom. Kangnam, famous for his high-energy personality, is expected to be the class mood-maker, winning over both students and viewers with his easygoing charm.
The production team shared, “The show was inspired by real-life cases where after-school programs helped revive schools facing closure. We hope viewers will support this one-of-a-kind theater class created by first-time teachers Kim Tae Ri, Choi Hyun Wook, and Kangnam.”
After School, Teacher Tae Ri premieres February 22nd at 7:40 PM KST on tvN.
