Jay Park will no longer attend the upscale beauty brand event scheduled for October 23rd in Seoul’s Seongdong-gu district. Instead, Taeyeon has been announced as his replacement.

According to the brand’s official statement, the change stems from a shift in the event’s program, which now emphasizes makeup and fragrance in a format the company says suits a female celebrity more appropriately. They emphasized that the switch is “completely unrelated” to Jay Park’s recent involvement in a breast-cancer awareness campaign that sparked much controversy.

The background: On October 15th, Jay Park participated in W Korea’s charity event Love Your W 2025, hosted by W Korea, which aimed to raise breast-cancer awareness. During the event’s performance portion he sang his hit “Mommae,” which drew criticism online for lyrics perceived as misaligned with the campaign’s purpose.

The beauty brand currently has no official ambassador. A company representative explained, “Taeyeon has recently been seen using our products, and we felt she could convey a friendlier, more approachable image to consumers.”
