Jung Eun Chae is officially joining the cast of Season 2 of SBS’s crime-action drama Flex X Cop, set to air next year, starring alongside Ahn Bo Hyun.
The first season of Flex X Cop followed Jin Yi Soo (Ahn Bo Hyun), the youngest son of Korea’s richest conglomerate, who suddenly finds himself working as a detective and solving cases with flair and humor. The series became a breakout hit early last year for its fast-paced storytelling and comic-book-inspired directing style.
Now, bolstered by strong viewer demand, the show is returning for a second season—this time with Jung Eun Chae stepping in as the new lead opposite Ahn.
In the upcoming season, Jung takes on the role of Joo Hye Ra, who joins the violent crimes unit after the former leader (Park Ji Hyun in Season 1) leaves for training in Los Angeles. Formerly the ace of the National Police Agency’s anti-terrorism team, Joo transfers to the unit by choice, driven by her sharp investigative instincts. She also happens to be the “devil instructor” who tormented Jin Yi Soo during his police academy training—setting up a tense yet dynamic reunion.
Known for her relentless precision and unshakable charisma, Joo Hye Ra even rides a motorbike when chasing down suspects—making this a role tailor-made for Jung Eun Chae.
Before her return to SBS, Jung will make a special appearance later this month in JTBC’s The Dream Life of Mr. Kim, premiering the 25th. She’s also set to star alongside Lee Na Young and Lee Chung Ah in the mystery-thriller series Honor (literal title), slated for release in the first half of next year.
