Kush of The Black Label is officially tying the knot with longtime girlfriend VVN, marking the happy end to a nine-year relationship—and a new family connection to K-pop icon Yuri of Girls’ Generation.

On October 8th, The Black Label confirmed to OSEN, “Kush and VVN will be getting married on October 11th.” The agency added, “We ask for understanding that further details about the ceremony will remain private.”

Kush first debuted in 2003 as part of the reggae-hip-hop duo Stony Skunk before shifting into songwriting and production in 2007. During his tenure at YG Entertainment, he helped craft hits for major acts including BIGBANG, G-Dragon, Taeyang, and 2NE1. Now working under The Black Label—home to artists like Taeyang, Jeon Somi, MEOVV, and ALLDAY PROJECT—he recently scored another success with “Soda Pop,” an OST track for Netflix’s animated feature KPop Demon Hunters.

VVN, meanwhile, began her entertainment career after entering CeCi magazine’s model contest in 2015. Widely known as Girls’ Generation member Yuri’s cousin, she has since built her own path as a producer and director as she revealed last year on I-LAND 2: N/a. She now serves as the creative director for the girl-group project IZNA.

The couple first went public with their relationship in July 2016, sharing that they had met through mutual friends six months prior and began officially dating two months before the news broke. Born in 1984 and 1993 respectively, Kush and VVN bridged a nine-year age gap and sustained a long, steady relationship leading up to their marriage.

With their union, VVN’s cousin Yuri now becomes Kush’s extended family, linking two branches of the K-pop world.
