The beloved cast of Green Bean, Red Bean: Reap What You Sow is back for a new adventure. Lee Kwang Soo, Kim Woo Bin, and Do Kyung Soo are reuniting for producer Na Young Seok’s new season, titled Green Bean Red Bean: Joy Pops Laugh Pops, premiering on tvN on Friday, October 17th.
This time, the trio is trading the farm fields for a chaotic “overseas exploration” trip to Mexico. Continuing their roles as “employees” of a fictional company, they must plan their entire trip themselves all while sticking to a very tight budget provided by the production team.
A new teaser trailer highlights the hilarious and disastrous results of their budget travel. The clip features Lee Kwang Soo having a complete meltdown over their less-than-luxurious conditions. “I can’t broaden my horizons because I don’t have money!” he exclaims, later complaining, “I’m itching to death because of the ants!”
The teaser culminates with him declaring, “Strictly speaking, we’ve been scammed. My mom would cry if she saw this,” perfectly capturing the show’s comedic and chaotic tone.
Lee Kwang Soo returns as the company’s “CEO,” with D.O. as a “department head” and Kim Woo Bin joining as a member of the “internal audit team.” Their real-life friendship is expected to create hilarious on-screen chemistry as they navigate the challenges of their trip.
Green Bean Red Bean: Joy Pops Laugh Pops is described as a “comedic documentary” and is set to premiere on tvN on October 17th at 8:40 PM KST.
