Hong Jong Hyun has been tapped to replace Yoon Ji On in Channel A’s upcoming rom-com Positively Yours (literal title), following Yoon’s removal after a drunk driving scandal.

On September 22nd, Hong’s agency Secret ENT confirmed that he has officially joined the cast. The rom-com follows two commitment-phobic singles whose one-night fling unexpectedly leads to a pregnancy and an entangled love story.

Yoon Ji On had been filming since July, playing Lee Min Wook, the childhood friend of Jang Hee Won (Ohn Yeon Seo) and rival to Kang Doo Joon (Choi Jin Hyuk). But on the 16th, he was caught operating a stolen motorcycle while heavily intoxicated, leading to charges of drunk driving and theft. Production quickly moved to cut ties, and all of Yoon’s completed scenes will be reshot with Hong in the role.

Hong Jong Hyun, known for his wide-ranging performances, has recently appeared in hits like What Comes After Love and My Dearest Nemesis. He also stars in the upcoming series Dear X.

Positively Yours is currently reshooting and will proceed with Hong’s new scenes in place of Yoon’s.
