A former executive of Omega X’s agency, Spire Entertainment, has been fined for assaulting member Jaehan.

The Seoul Central District Court sentenced the former director, who is also the wife of Spire’s CEO, to a fine of 500,000 won ($375) today for assaulting Jaehan in October 2022. The incident occurred after a performance in Los Angeles when she allegedly yanked Jaehan’s hoodie, causing him to fall in front of a hotel elevator. She denied the charges, claiming her actions were meant to “scold” Jaehan, and has since appealed the verdict.

In addition to the assault charge, the former director faces allegations of molesting six other Omega X members. The police have referred the case to prosecutors, believing the charges are valid.

The former director also accused Omega X member Heechan of sexual assault and filed a counterclaim, but the police decided not to pursue charges. Heechan’s own sexual assault claim against her was also dismissed.

Omega X has been in conflict with Spire Entertainment since late 2022. The members filed to terminate their contracts, and the court ruled in their favor in January 2023. In July 2023, they signed with a new agency, IPQ. Spire has since taken legal action, accusing IPQ of “touting” the members before their contracts officially ended. However, the court found insufficient evidence to support this claim.
