Japan’s leading adult video actress Sora Aoi spoke out regarding prostitution allegations involving former THE BOYZ member Ju Haknyeon and her fellow adult video film star Kirara Asuka.

On June 25th, Aoi Sora posted on her social media, writing in Korean, “AV actresses are not prostitutes, although we express sexuality.” She added in Japanese, “Talk about the status of AV actresses.”

This comment is interpreted as a response to prostitution suspicions that arose after photos showing Ju Haknyeon and Kirara Asuka drinking and engaging in physical contact at a bar in Tokyo were published by the Japanese weekly magazine Shukan Bunshun.

Aoi Sora also wrote, “Ultimately, the problem lies in the behavior that allowed such suspicious photos to leak,” and added, “Fans might react with, ‘Why did it have to be an adult film actress?’”

Ju Haknyeon was dropped from the group after it was revealed late that he had met privately with Kirara Asuka in May. Reports also surfaced that Ju Haknyeon gave money to Kirara Asuka in exchange for a sexual encounter, and it resulted in a complaint filed against him on charges of violating the Anti-Prostitution Act.

An internal investigation by his agency following the photo incident confirmed that Ju Haknyeon had a drinking session with Kirara Asuka and later visited her home. However, both Ju Haknyeon and Asuka Kirara deny the current allegations of prostitution.

Ju Haknyeon stated, “I have never engaged in any illegal acts, including prostitution,” and announced he would take legal action. He also claimed he never agreed to leave THE BOYZ or terminate his exclusive contract with his agency, One Hundred Label.

Kirara Asuka likewise denied, saying, “I have never received money for sexual activity.” However, she has not explained why she attended the drinking party in question.
