Fans were left speechless after hearing the news that THEBOYZ member Ju Haknyeon has been officially removed from the group and his contract was terminated after the alleged meeting with a Japanese pornstar was revealed to be true.

On May 29th, an exclusive report from News1 revealed news tips from Shūkan Bunshun claiming the 27-year-old member Ju Haknyeon and his acquaintances met former Japanese AV actress Kirara Asuka at a bar in Roppongi for a night of debauchery. They were allegedly drinking together, and reports of them hugging, holding each other, and her resting on Ju Haknyeon’s shoulder became a fiery hot topic.

Ju Haknyeon met with Kirara Asuka, who debuted as an AV actress in 2007 and retired from the industry in 2020. She now lives in Tokyo, working as an influencer. Although it remains unclear as to how the two were connected or Ju’s intentions of meeting her, fans speculate it was for sexual purposes.

After two months, One Hundred Label looked into the matter directly with Ju Haknyeon and suspended his activities with the group indefinitely after confirming everything to be true. Ju Haknyeon was officially removed and is no longer a member of THEBOYZ. The label left the following statement.

“Hello, this is One Hundred. We recently took action to suspend Ju Haknyeon’s activities as soon as we were informed that he was involved in a controversial incident. We took time in order to thoroughly investigate and verify the facts. As a result of our investigation, we have recognized the severity of the issue and have taken it seriously. We have realized that it has become difficult to maintain our trust in Ju Haknyeon as an artist. Due to this, after deep discussions with the members of THE BOYZ, we have decided that Ju Haknyeon must withdraw from the group and that his exclusive contract will be terminated.”

As expected, the agency wanted to maintain the reputation of the hard-working group. They pleaded for understanding and explained, “We kindly ask fans for your understanding and that this decision was an inevitable decision made to protect the members of THE BOYZ and the group as a whole. As of today, Ju Haknyeon will no longer be part of THE BOYZ and will cease all activities with the group. One Hundred Label will spare no effort in fully supporting the remaining members of THE BOYZ so that they can continue to promote in a healthy and stable state.”

The company ended their official statement saying, “Once again, we sincerely apologize for causing concern to the fans, and we will do our best to repay the fans with better news and promotions in the future. Thank you”
