Ju Haknyeon once again spoke out to express his frustration after being removed from the K-pop group THE BOYZ and his agency, One Hundred Label, last Wednesday amid controversy over his private life.

Ju released a third official statement on his social media on June 22nd. “I was the first to learn that photos had been taken before the agency even received an inquiry from the Japanese magazine Shūkan Bunshun. I immediately informed the agency of the situation and asked for help,” he wrote.

While acknowledging his own wrongdoings, Ju stated that he had tried to minimize harm to the group and its members. However, the agency unilaterally terminated his exclusive contract and demanded over 2 billion won (approximately $1.45 million USD) in penalties, pressuring him to sign a settlement agreement. When he refused, the agency abruptly announced his departure the very next day.

He also recalled that reports about his alleged meeting with a porn actress began to surface even before the Shūkan Bunshun article was published. Ju said he was branded a “shameless criminal” overnight as the allegation quickly spread across media outlets, blogs, and YouTube channels, followed by a police report filed by an anonymous netizen based on those articles.

“I couldn’t shake the feeling that someone was constructing a reason for the contract termination,” he said. “I was terrified that if I stayed silent, I would be labeled a sex offender for life. All of this happened within just two days.”

Ju revealed that he will file a lawsuit against the journalist who first reported the prostitution allegation and will also sue the individual who filed a criminal complaint against him for false reasons.

“I’ll be remembered forever as a sex offender if I give up without telling the truth,” he said. “Worse, if I stay silent out of fear, this false narrative won’t end with me. It will also stain the lives of my fans, my family, and my friends—labeling them as ‘relatives of a sex offender’ or ‘supporters of a criminal.’”
