Pretty Crazy has officially confirmed its August theatrical release, heating up summer with wild comedy. The film just unveiled three new character posters along with a high-energy launch trailer.
Directed by Lee Sang Geun—who helmed the 2019 box office smash Exit—Pretty Crazy reunites the director with Exit star YoonA and much of the original creative team. This time, they’re back with a devilishly offbeat comedy.
The film follows an unemployed young man named Gil Goo (Ahn Bo Hyun) who takes on a bizarre gig: watching over Seon Ji (YoonA), a woman who turns into a demon every night at dawn. Also joining the madness are veteran actor Sung Dong Il as Seon Ji’s totally chill demon dad, and Joo Hyun Young as her mysteriously quirky niece, Ara.
In the newly released posters, YoonA’s unhinged stare and frizzed-out hair create a fiery new look, while Ahn Bo Hyun’s puppy-like innocence and terrified expression create instant appeal. The tagline “Every dawn, the hellish part-time job begins” perfectly sets the tone for the off-the-rails ride ahead.
The trailer gives audiences a taste of what’s in store, spotlighting Lee Sang Geun’s signature fast-paced direction and YoonA’s devilishly unhinged performance. Meanwhile, Ahn Bo Hyun brings just the right touch of sweetness and sincerity.
