Weak Hero Class 2 premiered on April 25th with a host of new cast members while taking creative liberties with the original webcomic’s characters, but the story’s roots in Eunjang High School remain the same. It’s a sequel to the 2022 show titled Weak Hero Class 1. Let’s take a look at the newest members of the cast now.
Ryeoun as Park Hu Min

Park Hu Min, a character representing ‘weak hero’ alongside Yeon Si Eun (played by Park Ji Hoon), joins in Season 2. Unlike Yeon Si Eun, he is popular and an extrovert at school. While he tries to keep Yeon Si Eun out of trouble, his connection with Na Baek Jin complicates his relationship with the team of bullies.
Ryeoun plays the role of Park Hu Min. Since his debut in 2017, Ryeoun has excelled in romance and melodramas, making this his first attempt at an action drama. Similar to his breakout role as Hong Si Woo in 18 Again, where he played on the basketball team, Park Hu Min is depicted as the captain of the basketball team.
Choi Min Young as Seo Jun Tae

Seo Jun Tae is a friend who plays the victim role among the troubled students at school. As he grows closer to the newly transferred Yeon Si Eun, he gradually makes friends and stands up against the bullies with them. He rarely fights physically but remains crucial to his friends by providing them with intelligent strategies.
Choi Min Young portrays Seo Jun Tae. The 22-year-old actor has appeared as a child star in many dramas, but he made a significant impression as Baek Yi Hyun, the younger brother of Baek Yi Jin (played by Nam Joo Hyuk) in Twenty-Five Twenty-One. His previous work includes a starring role as the character Dae in the Netflix drama XO, Kitty.
Lee Min Jae as Go Hyun Tak

Go Hyun Tak, a friend of Park Hu Min, is one of the main combatants in Park Hu Min’s group. In the webcomic, he has a past trauma that is comparable to Yeon Si Eun, but it remains a mystery if this will be addressed in Season 2. He is a skilled boxer in the webcomic, while in the drama, he is said to have trained in Taekwondo.
Lee Min Jae plays Go Hyun Tak. Many viewers will remember him as Seo Geon Jae from Crash Course in Romance, where he confessed to Nam Hae Yi (Roh Yoon Seo), saying, “If I get into college, let’s date.”
Bae Nara as Na Baek Jin

Na Baek Jin is a powerful antagonist in the original work, and he’s depicted as a strong leader of the bully union. He is a genius who maintains a high GPA without the help of tutoring.
Bae Nara takes on the role of Na Baek Jin. He towers over other actors, and his height creates a unique atmosphere. Fans expect the drama to deviate significantly from the original story. The preview shows Na Baek Jin attending class, and he appears not to have any tattoos. In the webcomic, he was an odd student who studied alone instead of attending classes. Bae Nara debuted as a musical actor and gained recognition through the music survival show Phantom Singer Season 3 in 2020. She also connected with Netflix through her role as the long-term deserter and drag queen Jang Sung Min in D.P. Season 2.
Lee Jun Young as Geum Seong Je

Geum Seong Je is considered the school’s tyrant. He’s an executive member of the bully union and Na Baek Jin’s right-hand man. His character was introduced through the famous ‘three-second rule,’ which means that eye contact for more than three seconds leads to a fight. However, he hides behind his glasses, remains calm and appears to have a dual life.
Lee Jun Young frequently appears in Netflix shows like D.P., Mask Girl and When Life Gives You Tangerines. He portrays the character Geum Seong Je.
Yoo Su Bin as Choi Hyo Man

Starting in episode one, Choi Hyo Man is an instant enemy of Yeon Si Eun, but he later teams up with Yeon Si Eun and Park Hu Min to confront the union. Despite his earlier bravado, he quickly gets overwhelmed. He acknowledges the abilities of Yeon Si Eun and Go Hyun Tak.
Yoo Su Bin initially declined the offer to participate in Weak Hero Class 1 because the director, Yoo Su Min, is his older brother. He felt that someone more talented should take his place. After encouragement from the director and series producer Han Jun Hee, he decided to join the cast.
