After Jennie’s Coachella performance on April 13th, news outlets are doing nothing but ranting and raving about how she single-handedly dominated the stage.
Putting the crowd in a complete trance, Jennie made her solo appearance at the largest music festival known to man, Coachella, in America last weekend. Showing her prowess as a performance queen, Jennie hypnotized fans into chanting her name with every move and left a strong impression on American media outlets as well.
Her high-quality performance was remarkable, and the energy, alongside her stage presence, was unforgettable. Rolling Stone claimed “Jennie heated up the theater with her powerful performance” and “She proved she can do anything as a solo artist.” Viewers also commented on the large turnout of international fans awaiting her performance.
Jennie’s set ran non-stop for about 50 minutes and she performed over 13 tracks- including some of her major hit songs like “Mantra,” “ZEN,” “Love Hangover” and of course “like JENNIE,” which is currently her most viral song that is topping both domestic and international charts.
Although Jennie started the night off with “Filter,” a more chill hip-hop track with a trendy rap flow from her Ruby album, she ended the night with a real banger as she stormed the stage with her backup dancers saying “It’s gonna be fxxkin hard” and the music to “like JENNIE” began filling the area. This was the moment the stadium filled with screams and cheers as the stage gleamed a crimson red hue and the pink hammers among the crowds were shining brightly. Her special collaboration stage with Kali Uchis for “Damn Right” was also a highlight of her set.
Without a doubt, Jennie’s Coachella stage was deemed a success, and the silly notions of her being a lazy performer and incapable of singing have been put to rest. It seems like everyone knows who Jennie is and wants to be like Jennie now. Fans reacted to the performance video saying, “Love it! I even heard that Rosie, Lisa and her Mom were there, ”She blew up the stage with that fit,” and “She’s such a hot beauty when she is dancing!”
