A police investigation has begun after the family of the late Kim Sae Ron filed lawsuits against YouTuber Lee Jin Ho for defamation and stalking, leading to a three-month ban on Lee Jin Ho streaming video content related to Kim Sae Ron and her family.
On March 31st, Kwon Young Chan, head of the Korea Celebrity Suicide Prevention Association, told CBS No Cut News that the court issued a provisional order recognizing Lee Jin Ho’s stalking offense.
On March 17th, the late actress’s family filed a defamation lawsuit against Lee Jin Ho, accusing him of spreading false information about the deceased. Despite this, Lee Jin Ho continued to reveal details about Kim Sae Ron’s private life, prompting the family to file an additional stalking lawsuit and request a provisional order to halt his YouTube streams.
In response, Lee Jin Ho addressed the issue on his channel, stating, “This provisional order does not mean I’ve been found guilty or that false information has been confirmed. The investigative agency has clarified this.”
He continued, “I have not been investigated even once regarding the defamation claim or this new lawsuit. It seems that this order was issued temporarily due to the high-profile nature of the case. I plan to appeal this decision and find a way to correct the facts.”
Furthermore, he strongly asserted, “They are framing me as an offender based on false claims and are now preventing me from even defending myself. Why are they trying so hard to silence me? I will make sure to reveal the truth that someone is afraid of.”
Meanwhile, the Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency has assigned both the defamation and stalking lawsuits against Lee Jin Ho to the Seodaemun Police Station, where investigations are currently underway.
