Lee Junho, a member of 2PM and an accomplished actor, is officially parting ways with JYP Entertainment after 17 years.
On Thursday, JYP Entertainment announced that Lee’s exclusive contract will end on April 15th, and after careful discussions, both parties have decided not to renew.
“Since debuting as a member of 2PM in 2008, Lee Junho has given his all as both a singer and an actor, continuously excelling in both fields,” the agency stated. “Throughout our years together, we built a strong foundation of trust, renewing contracts multiple times and sharing some of the brightest moments of his career. We sincerely thank him for being part of JYP’s journey for 17 years.”
Lee also expressed his gratitude, saying, “I deeply appreciate the unwavering support I’ve received over the past 17 years. The relationships and encouragement I’ve gained during this time will always hold a special place in my heart.”
While their official contract is ending, JYP made it clear that their partnership isn’t entirely over. “JYP Entertainment will always support Lee Junho as he embarks on new challenges and continues his incredible journey. We will also remain in charge of his activities in Japan and provide assistance in future collaborations when needed.”
