Taiwan’s Central News Agency reported that Barbie Hsu passed away on February 2nd during a trip to Japan after contracting the flu, which developed into pneumonia. According to Taiwan Yahoo, she fell ill with the flu during a family trip to Japan and tragically passed away from acute pneumonia.

The media also reported that Barbie Hsu’s family issued a statement through their agency. In the statement, her family said, “During the Lunar New Year, our family went on a trip to Japan. Unfortunately, my dear sister, Barbie Hsu, passed away due to pneumonia complications from the flu. Being able to be with her as her sibling and support each other was a great blessing to me. I hope she rests in peace.”
