
Hitman 2 continues its reign at the Korean box office, marking its fourth consecutive day at number one.
According to the Korean Film Council, Hitman 2 drew in 251,515 viewers on January 30th, securing the top spot at the box office. The film has now reached a cumulative audience of 1,518,017. Dark Nuns claimed second place with 143,950 daily viewers, bringing its total audience to 1,186,509.
Both films, which were released around the same time, are locked in a battle over the box office. In a notable achievement, both Hitman 2 and Dark Nuns crossed the million-viewer milestone on Thursday.
Hitman 2 follows the story of Jun (Kwon Sang Woo), a once-successful writer who suddenly falls from grace. The comedy-action film centers on his predicament when a terrorist begins copying events from his ambitious new webtoon, leading to him being framed as a criminal overnight.
Dark Nuns follows two nuns who must perform a forbidden ritual to save a young boy possessed by a powerful evil spirit.
Meanwhile, Secret: Untold Melody, starring Do Kyung Sooa and Won Jin Ah, secured third place with 56,810 viewers, bringing its cumulative audience to 191,815.
