Rapper and KOZ Entertainment CEO Zico addressed rumors surrounding his alleged access to internal HYBE documents, setting the record straight.
On October 30th, Zico posted on his Instagram, saying, “I thought it would be best to address this directly, so I’m writing this. I have never seen the document in question, nor have I accessed any of these emails.”
He continued, “I only found out through today’s article that I’d even been added as a recipient. To avoid further misunderstandings, I asked KOZ to verify that I never accessed any of these emails or documents, and that record has been confirmed.”
Earlier that day, a media outlet reported that HYBE chairman Bang Si Hyuk had allegedly instructed company executives to share an internal report containing blunt assessments of various idols’ appearances. The report indicated that Zico, as head of KOZ Entertainment under the HYBE umbrella, was among the recipients.
After the news broke, Zico quickly distanced himself from the situation, emphasizing that he never opened the email with the document in question.
