Kim Sae Ron, who halted her acting career following a DUI charge, has taken on a new role as a manager at a well-known café in Seoul’s Seongsu-dong.
According to an exclusive report by TV Daily, Kim Sae Ron recently secured a position as a full-time manager at a café located in Seongsu-dong. She is actively involved in managing the café, including handling the counter and overseeing the café’s operations, proactively engaging with customers.
Kim Sae Ron was involved in a serious DUI incident on May 18th, 2022, in Cheongdam-dong, Gangnam, Seoul, where she crashed into guardrails, trees, and a transformer multiple times. The accident caused power outages and traffic signal malfunctions in the area, disrupting businesses and leading to significant financial losses for some establishments.
The day after the accident, Kim Sae Ron issued an apology on her social media, saying, “I made a grave mistake while driving under the influence. I’ve caused so many individuals an inconvenience due to my poor judgment and behavior, including local business owners, citizens, and those working to repair the damage.” She concluded, “I have no excuses for this, and I feel so ashamed and disappointed in myself for the mistake I made. I will take this seriously to ensure that something like this never happens again.”
Kim Sae Ron is reportedly facing financial difficulties due to the settlement payments and penalty fees owed to her former agency, Gold Medalist. Since the incident, she has been working part-time at a coffee shop in Oksu-dong and has also been giving acting lessons to aspiring actors.

Surely she has learnt her lesson 2 years on. No one was physically hurt snd I’m sure debts are being paid. Does this have to define her life. Too much concentration by the press on one part of someone’s life can have devastating affects let’s stop now.
