After one year and four months, BoA has made a striking return to the music scene with her new single “Emptiness”. This Afrobeat-based pop track encapsulates the journey of self-healing through the pains of love and betrayal, showcasing BoA’s talent not just as a vocalist but also as a songwriter, composer, and arranger.

In her latest YouTube video on her official channel, she offered fans a deep dive into the making of the song. She revealed, “This is a song I wrote back in 2018. It’s unique because it features my vocals from 2018 and 2024.”

She expressed her deep connection to the track, adding, “I wrote the intro’s vocals in 2018. Except for the intro, I ended up rewriting everything. The line ‘Really, you feel nothing? Am I that easy to you?’ just came naturally.” Speaking on the challenges she faced during the songwriting process, BoA shared, “It was a lot of hard work. Writing a new song when certain lines were firmly in place was tough. It wasn’t easy completely reinventing myself.”

Amidst the excitement over her musical comeback, BoA’s appearance has also sparked conversations online. Some people have pointed out that her visuals seem to have changed, raising speculation about possible cosmetic procedures.

This isn’t the first time BoA’s appearance has been the subject of public discourse. Previously, during her appearance in the tvN drama Marry My Husband, comments about her “unnatural lips” and suspicions of cosmetic treatments emerged. BoA addressed these concerns, stating, “I have a habit of biting my lips, which might have made them appear fuller. Many people are concerned about my lips, but they are fine. Really, there’s no need to worry.”
