Byeon Woo Seok and Kim Hye Yoon collaborated with Elle Korea for a pictorial and interview to promote their upcoming drama Lovely Runner.

The drama, set to premiere on April 8th on tvN, tells the story of a passionate fan named Im Sol who travels back in time to save her favorite idol singer Seon Jae from his death.
Byeon Woo Seok, who plays Ryu Seon Jae in the series, shared, “The scenes were just so vivid and beautiful. I knew I had to be the one to bring Sun Jae to life.” He also couldn’t stop praising his co-star, Kim Hye Yoon. “Filming was tough at times, but Hye Yoon’s cheerful energy helped a lot. It made everything easier.”
When asked if he would like to travel back in time and meet his first love like Im Sol and Su Jae do in the drama, Byeon Woo Seok replied, “I wouldn’t go back because it might ruin those innocent childhood memories. I’d rather keep them happy as they were.”
Kim Hye Yoon, who plays Im Sol, expressed her excitement for the drama, saying, “I loved the script, but I admit I felt some pressure at first, thinking ‘Could I really pull off Im Sol?’ But it was a good kind of pressure.” She also shared that the drama gave her the “mission” to portray a 30-year-old character, the oldest she has ever played.
Kim Hye Yoon spoke about her connection with the character, saying, “Sol’s fate changes when she becomes a huge fan of Seon Jae. This reignites her will to live. Playing Sol allowed me to deeply empathize with the feelings of my fans. They always write me letters, and experiencing Sol’s journey really made me connect with the hearts behind those letters. It made me realize how precious the bond between me and my fans is.”
