Byeon Woo Seok has shared his thoughts on his chemistry with Kim Hye Yoon in upcoming drama Lovely Runner.

Byeon Woo Seok stars in the tvN drama Lovely Runner, which premieres on April 8th. He plays the role of Ryu Seon Jae, a popular idol who tragically dies in 2008. Kim Hye Yoon plays Im Sol, a 34-year-old woman who goes back in time and tries to save Seon Jae from his death.
The star had nothing but praise for his co-star Kim Hye Yoon. “The chemistry between us is simply incredible,” he gushed. “Having someone as experienced as Hye Yoon in rom-coms by my side made everything so much easier. I felt comfortable acting with her, and I think it really shows in the drama.”
He even hinted at a particularly moving scene where Kim Hye Yoon’s acting chops left him speechless. “There’s this scene where Sol does something that touches Seon Jae’s heart,” Byeon Woo Seok revealed. “And let me tell you, I was genuinely moved by her performance. There were even moments when I felt my heart flutter.”
Byeon Woo Seok also picked out his favorite scene from the first two episodes and shared the unique charm of Lovely Runner. “There’s a scene on a bridge in the first episode where Seon Jae meets Sol for the first time,” he shared. “He holds an umbrella over her – it’s a sweet moment, and it’s where their real connection begins. But pay close attention, because the umbrella and the bridge come back in a big way later on in the story.”
The star then went on to explain the unique twist that sets Lovely Runner apart. “In the present, Seon Jae is Sol’s idol,” he said. “But when they’re back in 1998, things are flipped – Sol becomes Seon Jae’s inspiration. It’s a beautiful story about saving each other.”
Lovely Runner will premiere on tvN on Monday, April 8th at 8:50 PM KST.
