Lee Jang Woo Reveals His Struggles With Diet Culture, Says He’s Completely Healthy at 103kg

Lee Jang Woo shared his struggles with diet culture and the pressure to lose weight on his YouTube show.

Comedian Shin Ki Roo guested on the February 21st episode of Lee Jang Woo’s YouTube show “Jang Geum Lee Jang Woo.” During the episode, Lee Jang Woo revealed that he had received a tarot card reading that said he had “no intention of losing weight.” Shin Ki Roo shared a similar experience, saying that she had been advised against losing by a tarot card reader.

The actor expressed his frustration with the constant pressure to lose weight, saying that he had been criticized for his weight and told to “lose some pounds.” He emphasized that he is in good health, having received a clean bill of health during a recent medical checkup.

The comedian agreed with his sentiments, saying that people should not be pressured to lose weight if they are not comfortable doing so. He shared that he himself is also mindful of his health, but that he has been eating more since finding out that his blood sugar, blood pressure, cholesterol, and triglycerides are all normal.

Lee Jang Woo has often talked about his love for food on various variety shows. He recently revealed that he weighs 103kg (227 lbs) and has even ventured into the food business with his own unique food philosophy.

In addition to discussing his diet, Lee Jang Woo also asked viewers to stop sending him photos of him from 20 years ago. He explained that he cannot go back in time and that he would appreciate it if people would stop bringing up his past.
