The upcoming MBC series Wonderful World is creating a buzz with its recently revealed table read. Directed by Lee Seung Young and Jung Sang Hee and written by Kim Ji Eun, Wonderful World delves into the mysterious secrets surrounding Eun Soo Hyun (Kim Nam Joo), who takes justice into her own hands against the murderer of her son.
On the day of the first table read, Kim Nam Joo expressed her excitement for her drama comeback after six years, stating, “As a mother of two, the intense maternal love in the script really moved me.” Additionally, Cha Eun Woo described the drama as “a heartwarming story where people with similar pains heal each other, offering a variety of warm feelings.”
Kim Nam Joo plays Eun Soo Hyun, a successful psychology professor and author. Her character undergoes a dramatic transformation after the tragic loss of her young son, leading her to portray a wide range of emotions. Cha Eun Woo takes on the role of Kwon Seon Yul, a mysterious young man from a wealthy family who chooses a rougher path in life, showcasing a bold acting transformation.
Kim Kang Woo plays Kang Soo Ho, a former journalist turned news anchor and the husband of Eun Soo Hyun. His character displays a deep sense of justice and the emotional turmoil following a family tragedy. In contrast, Lim Se Mi portrays Han Yoo Ri, Eun Soo Hyun’s sister-like friend and the owner of a Cheongdam editing shop, charmingly depicting her character’s devotion to Eun Soo Hyun.
Meanwhile, MBC’s new Friday-Saturday drama Wonderful World will premiere its first episode on March 1st.
