Lee Dong Gun remembered his lost brother in the latest episode of SBS’ My Little Old Boy.

In the episode, Lee Dong Gun visited a church with a bouquet of white chrysanthemums to commemorate his late brother’s birthday who left the world 15 years ago. Lee Dong Gun’s brother tragically lost his life in Australia during a stabbing incident involving two men who attacked him for simply looking at them.

Lee Dong Gun poignantly said hello to his late brother, saying, “Hello. How have you been?” He added, “Sorry, I’m a few days late. It’s your birthday. Happy birthday,” as he placed a letter in front of his brother’s picture. He continued, “It’s your thirty-sixth birthday. I can’t imagine you at thirty-six because you’re always 20 in my memory.” He then shared a picture of his daughter Roa, saying, “Roa has grown up a lot. She can now have conversations with me.”

Lee Dong Gun shared, “We talk a lot about my little brother in our family, just sharing simple, casual memories. But I’m careful around my dad; he doesn’t visit, even on anniversaries. I guess it’s tough for him.”

After returning home, Lee Dong Gun shared memories of his brother while enjoying the birthday meal his mother had prepared.

Lee Dong Gun recalled, saying, “I was so excited when my brother was born. He was incredibly cute in elementary school.” Lee Dong Gun’s mother recalled, “He really liked you, not just liked you. He really looked up to you. He even used to say he’d grow up to be just 1 cm shorter than you. That’s how much he loved you.”
