In the drama, Shin Eun Soo played Cheong Ah, a congenitally deaf character with a cold and aloof exterior but harboring deep pain inside. She was the young mother of Eun Gyeol (Ryeoun), who travels back in time.
Shin referred to Lee Chan as a “prince” in her interview. She explained, “Cheong Ah was trapped in a bookshop and attic, but Lee Chan kept showing up. Her curiosity grew about this boy, who brought light and laughter. I couldn’t help but fall for Lee Chan. He was truly a charming role.”
Then the actress also confessed to having a real “heart-fluttering” moment with Lee Chan. She shared, “Whenever I met Lee Chan, I kept telling myself, ‘I like him,’ ‘He’s really cool.’ And there were quite a few times he looked genuinely cool.” She continued, “Especially when he saved me from the delinquents, he looked so reliable and handsome. And it was great because Hyun Wook played Lee Chan.”
When asked about her favorite scene, Shin responded, “It was the scene where Lee Chan and Cheong Ah talked before their kiss.” She elaborated, “Cheong Ah confesses her feelings through sign language to the person she likes, and it was a moment she could communicate her own thoughts, which was really great. I loved the resilience in Cheong Ah’s character.”
The finale episode skipped everything between their high school romance and marriage, leaving viewers longing for more. Addressing this, Shin shared, “I talked about this with Hyun Wook, wondering how Chan and Cheong Ah dated and ended up getting married. They were a lovely couple and matched so well.”
