Lee Sun Kyun has claimed he was duped into drug use by A, the manager at the entertainment establishment.
On the 5th, legal circles commented that the actor, facing charges for taking marijuana and psychotropic substances, suggested during his second questioning that he was misled by A. “I was deceived by A, who gave me something without telling the whole truth. I had no idea it was drugs,” Lee stated, acknowledging some aspects of the drug use allegations but firmly denying any intent.

Contrary to the brief initial questioning, Lee, after enduring a three-hour-long second interrogation, told the press, “I told everything as I remember it, honestly.”
A is known for her connections with A-list celebrities like Lee, cultivated while working at the so-called “membership club” in Gangnam district for the affluent class. She is accused of delivering drugs supplied by a doctor she knew to Lee and even providing her home as a place for drug use. A, a repeat offender with six prior convictions including drug use, was already found to have a significant amount of psychotropic substances in her system during a preliminary test before her arrest.
Last month, as suspicions of drug use surfaced, Lee claimed he was blackmailed and extorted for 350 million KRW (approximately 280,000 USD), subsequently accusing A and another individual known as B of extortion.
The police are now scrutinizing the credibility of Lee’s claim that he was tricked by A. Moreover, meaningful evidence related to the drug allegations was reportedly secured from a forensic analysis of Lee’s phone during the first inquiry. Based on the evidence collected so far and Lee’s various statements, the police plan to conduct a supplementary investigation and summon the actor for a third round of questioning soon.
