Weekly TV Top10: ‘Doona!’ Debuts at No. 1 Amid Mixed Reactions

Doona

Drama Ranking for 3rd Week of October

Netflix’s much-anticipated series Doona! made a grand debut at the top spot. While Suzy’s dazzling visuals earned rave reviews, many dubbing the show “a drama made for Suzy,” the latter half of the series drew some criticism for its lackluster plot. On top of that, the male lead’s lack of presence didn’t go unnoticed. Meanwhile, MBC’s My Dearest Part 2 dropped to second place, but not without gathering fervent attention as Ahn Eun Jin and Namkoong Min’s characters’ dramatic reunion. Lee Chung Ah’s intervening role in their relationship also garnered its share of the spotlight. Over at JTBC, Strong Girl Nam-soon grabbed the third spot, with all three leading ladies—Lee Yoo Mi, Kim Jung Eun, and Kim Hae Sook—making it on the cast rankings, further proving the drama’s popularity. At fourth, tvN’s Twinkling Watermelon continues to shine in the limelight, consistently drawing praise as a well-crafted drama. On the downside, SBS’s The Escape of the Seven logged in at fifth, showing a continued slump in viewership. Climbing to sixth place, Disney Plus’s The Worst of Evil captured audiences with its intricate storyline involving Ji Chang Wook, Wi Ha Jun, Lim Se Mi, and Bibi. In a disappointing turn of events, tvN’s The Sword of Aramoon failed to bounce back, closing its run at seventh place. MBC’s A Good Day to Be a Dog slid to eighth, possibly due to its unfavorable single-episode-per-week schedule.
