Pyo Ye Rim, a famous YouTuber and the victim of school violence whose experience paralleled the bullying incident depicted in The Glory, has been found dead.

On the 10th, the Busanjin Police Station received a report around 1 PM that a woman had fallen in Seongjigok Reservoir in Busan Children’s Grand Park. After three hours of search, the police discovered the body of the Youtuber.

On the same day, Pyo uploaded a video titled “A Farewell Letter – I Want to Stop Now” to her YouTube channel. In the video, she expressed, “Now, I want to get some rest,” and mentioned how other YouTubers had targeted her, engaging in personal attacks using multiple anonymous identities. She also stated, “I will prove the truth with my own life to those who accused my past school violence as baseless.”

Since January, Pyo revealed that she had been tormented by fellow students for 12 years during her school days. This revelation aligned with the release of the Netflix drama The Glory, and her story made headlines as it was so similar to the protagonist Moon Dong Eun’s story from the Netflix series. However, some of the alleged perpetrators denied the accusations and called for her to provide evidence or an apology. In response, she announced her intention to take legal action against cyberbullying, particularly from those associated with the accused individuals.
