On the 1st, the world’s largest fashion charity event, the Met Gala, took place at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City. This year’s theme was “Karl Lagerfeld: Line of Beauty,” and the event was chaired by Penelope Cruz, Michaela Coel, Roger Federer, and Dua Lipa.
BLACKPINK’s Jennie wowed everyone in her white mini dress from Chanel. She accentuated her voluminous figure with a large flower and ribbon decoration and matched her outfit with black tights, high heels, long gloves, and a choker around her neck. Her hair was braided into a headband style and adorned with Chanel’s signature white camellia flower, adding an elegant touch.
An American media outlet reported, “As a BLACKPINK member who headlined Coachella, Jennie has set another milestone by attending her first Met Gala. She is known as ‘Human Chanel’ among fans.”
In an interview with Emma Chamberlain, who held the microphone for American Vogue magazine, Jennie explained her choice of a mini dress, saying, “I see people wearing these crazy dresses. I’m so curious to see how they sit down.” She added, “I’m so lucky to have the Chanel team recreate this look from the 90s, the one that Karl did. So I’m just so happy.”
On the same day, Song Hye Kyo appeared on the Met red carpet wearing a pink dress from Fendi. The actress’s stunning beauty with her new Hime hairstyle particularly caught the eye. It is known that she was invited to this year’s Met Gala as a Fendi ambassador.
