BTS’ J-Hope said goodbye to his fans ahead of his military enlistment.
On April 1st, the singer shared a photo of himself on the group’s Weverse and wrote, “Have a wonderful weekend, and don’t worry too much about me! I love you, ARMY.” He posted a selfie wearing a white t-shirt and smiled brightly toward the camera.
Upon seeing the post and photo, Jin, the first BTS member to enlist in the military, left a comment saying, “How can you be smiling?” Jimin, in response, laughed and said, “You’re crazy, J-Hope. Stop it!”
Jin then wittily replied, “You won’t be able to smile soon,” to which Jimin responded with a crying emoji, and Jin added, “But I won’t be able to laugh either.”
J-Hope later responded to their cute and hilarious exchange by saying, “I give up.”
On April 1st, BTS’ agency, Big Hit Music, announced, “J-Hope will soon be enlisting as an active-duty soldier. We ask for your love and support until he completes his military service. We will do our best to provide all the support he needs during this time.”
