Many K-dramas feature some cool and unique places and landmarks. Here are seven unique K-drama filming locations that were featured in The Glory, Reborn Rich and more.
The Glory
A lot of the scenes from The Glory take place at a park that resembles a go chessboard. Located at Cheongna Lake Park in Incheon, the place features several sculptures in the shape of a go chessboard and large go stones.
There is a “Go park” next to Cheongnaru, a famous filming location among The Glory fans. Although the props were removed after the filming wrapped, the large checkerboard-shaped sculptures are still in place. Incheon Facilities Corporation plans to preserve the Go park for citizens.
The outdoor space where Dong Eun learned to play Go among the elderly was filmed in Cheongju Central Park in North Chungcheong Province. In the center of the park is a 900-year-old ginkgo tree, under which Dong Eun and Yeo Jeong (played by Lee Do Hyun) play the game, Go.
Reborn Rich
Jin Yang Cheol’s (Lee Sung Min) house is in Seoul in Reborn Rich, but the actual house where the series was filmed is in Busan at the former Mayor’s house. The exterior of the mansion, the garden, the pond and the grand main gate of the house were all captured in the drama.
Unlike the inside of the residence, the outdoor space of the mansion has remained accessible since it was opened to the public in 2004 (9:00 AM to 6:00 PM). A Busan City official said, “Since the drama aired, it has become a popular tourist spot with close to 300 people visiting a day.”
The Interest of Love
Much of the scenes in The Interest of Love were filmed in the Euljiro area. The scene where Ha Sang Soo (Yoo Yeon Seok) drinks with his colleague was shot in the Nogari Alley in Euljiro. The street scenery captured in front of the bank was shot in Euljiro 2-ga, and the get-together scene was shot in Mugyo-dong near Euljiro.
The traditional market was filmed at Dapsimni Hyundai Market in Dongdaemun-gu, and the restaurant run by An Soo Young’s (Moon Ga Young) parents is located in Dapsimni Hyundai Market.
Work Later, Drink Now
Work Later, Drink Now 2 features a bar called ‘Obok House’ where the three girls hang out all the time. This is a small bar located near Omok Culture Park in Uijeongbu. The old single-story house that has been remodeled gives off a unique vibe and is currently running as an actual Japanese pub.
