Lee Byung Hun and Yoo Ah In will be having a fierce battle.
Netflix confirmed its new movie The Match, where Lee Byung Hun and Yoo Ah In turned into legendary Go players.
Based on real people and a story, The Match portrays the inevitable match of Cho Hun Hyun and Lee Chang Ho, whose teacher-protege relationship turned into rivals. This is The Sheriff In Town director Kim Hyung Joo’s second movie.
Go, called a microcosm of life, is a fierce battle in which everything that controls humans, such as psychology, brain, and mood, acts as a variable. Cho Hun Hyun and Lee Chang Ho were the people who conquered the world when Go was hotter than the World Cup. Their names are still considered legends who are still active players.
After achieving the grand slam, Cho Hun Hyun discovers a gifted but untrained young boy Lee Chang Ho in an amateur contest. He takes the boy under his wing and turns him into a professional player, but conflict arises when the protege turns against his teachings.
Lee Byung Hun plays Cho Hun Hyun, a warm-hearted teacher, while Yoo Ah In steps into Lee Chang Ho, who struggles to outstrip his teacher.
