Lee Seung Gi is making his quick comeback as a host.
Having excellently pulled off his role as an MC in JTBC’s Sing Again, which started the “rebellion of obscure singers,” is extending this worldview to the K-pop world. He’s been chosen as the host for the Sing Again crew’s new project Peak Time, which announced its production in June.
Since Lee Seung Gi has been active in various fields, including singing, acting, and variety shows, for 19 years, he’s expected to act as a guide for the idols who are relatively new in this business (compared to him).
JTBC’s Peak Time is the first survival show that features the “team battle,” and idols who’ve already made their debut will compete for the position of “Worldwide Idol.” The teaser has already given a glimpse into the new type of survival show, drawing keen attention from K-pop fans.
The production team shared, “He’s the best and irreplaceable host that represents the participants by combining empathy for the situation and his witty sense of humor, as well as his unrivaled musicality. Just like in Sing Again, you can expect his synergy with the participants.”
Meanwhile, Peak Time premieres in early 2023.
