Kim Soo Hyun and Kim Ji Won will be playing a married couple in the upcoming drama Queen of Tears (literal title).
On the 5th, Studio Dragon greenlighted the production of Queen of Tears, co-helmed by Crash Landing on You director Jang Young Woo and Vincenzo director Kim Hee Won. The drama is penned by hitmaker Park Ji Eun, whose credits include My Love from the Star, The Legend of Blue Sea, and Crash Landing on You.
Today, Queen of Tears confirmed the casting of Kim Soo Hyun and Kim Ji Won.
First, Kim Soo Hyun steps into the role of Baek Hyun Woo, the pride of Yongdu-ri Village and the legal director of Queens Group. Kim Ji Won stars opposite him as Hong Hae In, the arrogant queen of Queens Department Store and third-generation chaebol of the Queens Group. Together, they’ll unfold a miraculous love story of a couple overcoming various crises, completing a touching drama that stresses the importance of family.
Meanwhile, Queen of Tears will start filming in the first half of 2023 and premiere in the second half.
