Netflix released a new poster and a teaser trailer for 20th Century Girl.
Set in 1999, the upcoming romance movie follows a teen girl who keeps close tabs on a boy in school on behalf of her deeply smitten best friend. It will be the first full-length movie produced by director Bang Woo Ri, who won countless film awards at multiple South Korean film awards.
The newly released poster shares a glimpse of the four protagonists exuding a warm and youthful vibe, with a heart-fluttering caption that reads, “You came into my view when we were 17.” Curiosity is rising about whom they will fall in love with as the four gaze out in different directions.
The trailer begins with Kim Yeon Doo (played by Roh Yoon Seo) gushing about her crush to her bestie, Na Bo Ra (Kim Yoo Jung), who indifferently listens to her friend. Along with the caption that reads, “Meeting my first love from 1999 again,” the clip ends with Bo Ra all grown-up (played by Han Hyo Joo), encountering her first love.
20th Century Girl will premiere on October 21st.
