Kim Jung Hyun and Im Soo Hyang will star in the new drama The Season of Kkokdu (literal title).
MBC’s new Friday-Saturday drama The Season of Kkokdu is about the grim reaper who comes down to this world to punish humans every 99 years meeting a doctor with a special ability. This new fantasy romance comes from Less Than Evil writers Kang Yi Hun and Heo Jun Woo and Alice and Into The World Again helmer Baek Soo Chan and Check Out the Event director Kim Ji Hoon.
Kim Jung Hyun steps into the role of Kkokdu, the eccentric guide of the underworld. For getting on the wrong side of God, Kkokdu has been cursed to lead the deceased to the afterlife and kill the scums in the human world by entering the body of Do Jin Woo, a human who looks just like him. While the reason for his endless suffering is still unknown, the big question will be whether Kkokdu can break the curse or not.
Im Soo Hyang turns into Han Gye Jeol, a doctor who graduated from the medical school ranked last in the nation. After her mother passed away at a young age, she was left with only her younger brother. When she feels smaller than ever due to the society that only recognizes doctors from prestigious universities, she meets Do Jin Woo, the first person to ever take her side.
Meanwhile, The Season of Kkokdu has already begun filming.
