From AOA’s Jimin to CLASS:y’s Kim Seon Yoo, eight rappers will have a showdown on the stage.
JTBC’s new rapper survival show The Second World (literal title) has announced the lineup – AOA’s Jimin, MAMAMOO’s Moonbyul, Oh My Girl’s Mimi, WJSN’s Lexy, MOMOLAND’s JooE, Billlie’s Moon Sua, and CLASS:y’s Kim Seon Yoo. This new show is a survival show in which rappers from K-pop girl groups with also great vocal skills compete to become the winner.
As previously reported, Paul Kim has joined the show as the host. Also, Kim Bum Soo, Jung Yup, Apink’s Jeong Eunji, BTOB’s Seo Eunkwang, and MeloMance’s Kim Min Seok will be acting as “Voice Recorders,” the judges of the show.
The Second World received an explosive response by pre-releasing the song from the first round through Naver NOW on August 1st. Additionally, the curiosity and interest in the cast have led to the “Global Hearer” voting.
“There aren’t many opportunities where rappers can sing. That’s why people seem to be interested in The Second World,” The production team shared. “All eight rappers have a distinctive and attractive voice. Their vocal prowess is especially impressive. We hope you’ll join us in the journey to see which rapper will be recognized as an all-around artist and selected as the best one.”
Meanwhile, The Second World will premiere on the 30th at 8:50 PM KST.
