Jinyoung recently had an interview with British monthly men’s magazine ARENA and shared his thoughts on his latest series Yumi’s Cells Season 2.

Jinyoung, who plays Yoo Bobby in the series, talked about what it was like starring in a series based on an incredibly popular webtoon: “I wanted to satisfy the original fans. But it was incredibly challenging for me to do so as I also wanted to deliver my style of acting.” He added, “There is a scene where Bobby’s cell village has an earthquake when he sees this beautiful new girl named Da Eun at his work. It was hard for me to relate to him.”

As a member of GOT7, Jinyoung has been actively pursuing his acting career in the industry. He said, “Now, I am more relaxed than before. I hope everything works out for the best, and I no longer feel anxious about what the future may hold,” sharing the mindset he built for the last decade in the industry. He added, “I think years of struggles gave me the strength to overcome challenges. Without good friends, I would have given up in frustration. But I know they are always there for me and help me whenever there’s trouble.”

The twenty-nine-year-old actor also talked about his future: “I think I will be able to play more roles as I get older. My looks will change, and I will be able to take on more versatile characters. I don’t know how long I will be an actor, but I want to keep this career for as long as I can. Seeing the senior stars who are active in the industry makes me want to pay my respect to them. They are incredible. Hopefully, I can stay mentally strong enough to keep on pursuing this career.”
