aespa is continuing its record-breaking streak.
On Friday, SM Entertainment announced that pre-orders for aspea’s second mini-album Girls have exceeded 1,610,517. This is the highest record for pre-orders for a K-pop girl group.
aespa expressed their joy, saying, “We were surprised and thrilled to hear that pre-orders for our second mini-album Girls have exceeded 1.61 million copies. Since you’ve waited a long time for this new album, we’ve worked really hard. And it’s overwhelming to set such a good record from the start.” The girls added, “We sincerely thank you, and we’ll become aespa who shows better music and performance.”
At present, aespa’s Girls and BLACKPINK’s THE ALBUM are the only two girl group albums ever to surpass 1 million stock pre-orders.
Meanwhile, asepa will host a live broadcast “aespa Girls Comeback Live” via YouTube and TikTok on the 11th at 8 PM KST.
